Book Review: Health and Safety Pocket Book

Although the description for this book suggests it would be useful for a wide range of people, it is going to be of more use to health and safety professionals rather than lay people with health and safety responsibilities.

The book consists primarily of bullet points summarising the legislation with little or no further explanation. This may be just what health and safety professionals need, but I suspect most normal managers would need a bit more hand-holding and would find Health & Safety at Work – An essential guide for managers (also by Stranks) more appropriate.

There are some good form templates and check-lists, but again without any explanation they are going to be more useful to health and safety professionals.
