DVD Review: The Short Life of Anne Frank

Whlist in Amsterdam I bought a copy of a DVD called “The Short Life of Anne Frank”, from the Anne Frank House Museum. This is a short documentary only 28 minutes long. Despite it’s short length the documentary is well put together using spoken narration over the views of the house, clips of video and text from the diary. It does well to include the detail it does within the 30 minutes, although I feel it could have been better, as there was more video on display in the museum than was included on the DVD. I would recommend the DVD to anyone wanting to know more about Anne Frank, and to a lesser extend the suffering of the Jews during the second world war. At around £20 for less than 30 minutes it is however a very expensive buy. It’s available from the museum or online at: www.annefrank.nl
