As an update to my earlier post: Radio Redditch and Kingfisher FM – potential radio stations for Redditch Radio Redditch has now reached the end of it’s RSL so has stopped broadcasting. Both Radio Redditch and Kingfisher FM are trying to get permanent licenses from Ofcom, so watch this space. Hopefully they’ll be some news […]

I’ve created a new improved photo gallery which is now in use on the Emergency Services and First Aid photo gallery on First Aid Quiz.com. The new photo gallery is Ajax based. Assuming you have JavaScript enabled this means that you’ll be able to view photos without having the full page refreshed and can view […]

It’s that time again – when the afternoons are dark, the Christmas Lights are on and you can’t move through the crowds at the Christmas Markets and Fairs. The Christmas fairs and markets are a great place to find that unique present or home made gift, or just a good excuse to have a Bratwurst […]

I’ve been listening to Radio Redditch recently after I discovered the station broadcasting on the same frequency as my TomTom MP3 in-car radio transmitter. See: Radio Redditch vs TomTom MP3 broadcast I’ve since found that there are actually two stations bidding for a broadcast license for Redditch. I’ve been contacted by one of these and […]

Earlier this year I released an Advanced First Aid Quiz on First Aid Quiz.com website. For those that are not quite at the advanced stage I’ve now added a Beginner’s First Aid Quiz to balance this out. The quiz asks 10 questions designed to test a basic understanding of first aid principles, protocols and techniques. […]

Normally I find the BBC news to be one of the best news sources. A recent Internet article on Daily Calorie intake has surprised me. In my mind this is completely irresponsible programming – to make a story that would otherwise be a much less-interesting story.

Recently I’ve been doing some research on Event Health and Safety. In the past that meant having to buy hard-copy documents from the HSE for the likes of “The Event Safety Guide” (Purple Guide) and The Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (Green Guide). These are now available online which is much easier to view […]

The first aid quiz website has been down for a couple of days. I only realised yesterday when checking on the site. It appears that my hosting provider Compila.com had forgotten to renew my domain registration so my DNS entry had expired. I’m going to look at creating a server status page that can be […]

Redditch has a new radio station called Radio Redditch. It broadcasts on 87.9Mhz FM (VHF). I am a fan of local radio stations and I think Redditch is in an ideal situation for a local radio station. There are a number of radio stations that can be received in Redditch, but before Radio Redditch none […]
